Generalist

Generalist is often translated into Japanese as "Generalist". An integrated position is one in which you will experience a variety of jobs in different departments. (It's called job rotation.)

This is a style of employment unique to Japan in which people are expected to play a central role in the management of the company in the future (as executive candidates).

At a manufacturer, there are humanities and science-related jobs (clerical) and science-related jobs (technical), but depending on the company's career path, you may be asked to do jobs that go beyond the humanities and science fields. For example, science majors do sales and human resources, humanities majors do production management, etc. If you are not particular about the job title and want to become the core of the company over the medium to long term, this is the right job for you.
